Daniel Catán’s opera Il Postino was co produced with Virginia Opera and Chicago Opera Theatre. Conducted by maestro Guillermo Figueroa for Opera Southwest at The National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Presented in partnership with NHCC to advance Spanish and Latin culture.  Puerto Rican stage director Crystal Manich champions Spanish works and is quoted:

  “I think hearing your own language in operatic form has been a missed opportunity in the hispanic community.”
